NOVEMBER 2010

new yarn for baby hats--

One embroider done for the candy dishes--

Bought a new Singer sewing machine--this one is a commercial one--
can't buy them in a store--got from a salesman--is brand new--
and it sews great!!!!!  so far!!

November's Sentimental Journey embroidery is done--

Hand quilting is done on the Mariner's compass wall hanging--

the week of November 9th thur November 15 was spent on totally reorganizing the sewing?quilting fabric and all the rest of the apartment--so only a some embroidery on a cat Christmas sampler got done!!!

It did get finished--
and I got this Fall machine embroidery one finished--

It had been sent to me by a blogger named Besty--

Started the 12 days of Christmas layer cake blocks--
And got this new top all sewed (by Dec 2nd)
but worked on it alot during November--

Started some redwork for Christmas designs for a table runner--

and did another row for the homespun quilt--

so this will be wider when finished--
did these two towels and sent them to Alice and Lola--

Really not sure where the month went--
just did not get much done--
did get two more baby hats done!!

OCTOBER 2010

Fall is here!!!!

getting blocks done on this pattern--need to do one more row--6 blocks--then need to applique birds in the center of beige squares--

Am working on hexagon Christmas ornaments for gifts--
these are so much fun to make!!!

and 8 cat nip toys for some of my friends--

adopted Gracie--one of the kittens from across the street--

Finished this Christmas block from last year--
needed to add the berries--now have 3 all done!!!

 did some baby hats--3 more I believe!!

Made new curtains for the dinning room--yellow gingham checked--
and have started new chair covers!!!

So October was full--especially  with all the work we did with the kittens across the street--only Emma is at large and she got loose on us when we moved her to Magee street--and only her and Gracie need to be fixed yet!!!!
So out of 5 kittens and the momma--only Emma so far is still out there--but we do think we know where she is????

SEPTEMBER

This month has gotten off to a real "sad" start---
Mary Claire was killed while crossing the street near her home on Sept 3--

And I helped little sister adopt this kitten from the strays across the street--
he is sweet and loving boy named Morris---

My main focus is hand quilting this for the library in Odessa

Found a doll I had made at a rummage sale from when I had my shop--
cost me a $1--

This tote bag came from Robin and is made out of a couple more blocks that blog friends sent her after she made my Marys quilt--

Fall table runner all made--

fall candle mat--hand pieced and hand quilted!!

started knitting the snowmen --
got the pattern in January--

Went to Denise's and we made this clutch purses with the metal tape measures inside for them to close--they are alot of fun to make!!!

got this fall stitchery from Ariane all done!!

got another clutch finished--added a strap to this one!
