Ok let's see what I was up to in May--
I do know it is my birthday month--72 yrs young now!!
Have finish--all 6 are done--
two more hand piecing blocks are done-
won this charm pack--
working on blue applique hearts each day in May--
gifts from June and Anne--
and Melinda--
actually got into a real quilt shop in Suntree--
needed white hand quilting thread--and these all came home too--
a finish--
did these embroidered blocks years ago--
finally into a wall hanging--
was so excited to do this one with the bunny faces--
but don't like it at all--
good thing I still have more of the bunny faced fabric---
two more hand pieced blocks--
plus 2 more--this block is the only block that I had a hard time with--
but alot of others did too!!
this months color for the bird color challenge was green--
For the Covid -19 we all got stimlus checks of $1,200
you know where alot of mine went--
Racing started back up after over 2 months off cause of Covid 19
with no one in the stands--
so did finish up the apron blocks--
another baby sweater finished-
the last block for the hand piecing blocks-
my hat lady blocks got put into a top--
though again not really happy with the colors I picked to finish them--
wanted them to look like they were in a store window--
I do have them hung in the bathroom sink area-and they do look nice there!
worked on--but need more of the light pink for a narrow border going around the center part first--
this is it for May--
a busy month again--

APRIL
we are still on shelter in place orders--
Bonnie Hunter is doing a weekly quilt--
and it starts with a center block-
I picked these fabrics for mine-
and
here is the center--
for me this is large enough and so it is done--
I only did 3 parts to it--
there ended up being 9 parts and they were huge tops when they got done with them!!!
now with the borders added on it--
also have the backing all made for it--
These are this week's hand piecing blocks--
I had to recut some of the blades for some reason!!??
another block hand piecing--
and then one in Aqua--
Oh no this is the next hand piecing block and I fell in love with how I did this one
and in the fabrics I picked for it--so--
I fussy cut enough for 7 more blocks to make a quilt with just this block--!!!
and here is the replacement block--
and the aqua one--
and we all got into making face masks--
I had some thin round elastic so I used that--
and I got 10 made with that--
Then I did more using shoe laces for the ties
I donated 8 to the kitchen staff and 4 to the office and 2 to friends--
and kept 4 for me (mine are all the flamingo ones)
the Kitchen staff later did give me a card with a $10 Joann's gift certif in it--
more of the blocks for the B B mystery quilt--
and here is the center block for this one--
then the next step
then we added all the little fancy blocks
and then I did borders on it--
and more done on my rabbit wall hanging--
I had to unstitch his whole face and his ears and move them down--
did not like his face--and decided I just wanted his nose to appear above the basket--
and looky here--Mr Spring Rabbit is all finished--even quilted and his binding on!!
finishing the hand quilting on this was my OMG goal for April--
I made my goal--and I designed a bumble bee stencil that I added to it--
did the bee and the bee's trail in black--
also used colors on each of the colored fabric items and white everywhere else!
this was called Christine's Kitchen
got all the embroider and applique done on these--
Had a nice Surprise day before Easter--
I was down doing laundry and Dee happened by and we chatted a bit--
later she came by with a publix bag and there was a nice salmon cut, bottle of water,
and this pink tulip in it --(the water had the added vitamins and minerals added so
couldn't drink that) but that salmon made a yummy Easter dinner and I just loved my
pink tulip--
this months bom fro the large block color challenge--purple was the color!!
and Angies color this month is blue--
A real busy stitching month--
but it kept me busy--
got my stimulus check from the government too
donated a $100 to the Zoo--thank you lord!
