FEBRUARY

 Got me anew light for the desk--it works much better than one I had there and I can adjust it easier!

Got the second heart block --in yellow --

actually--looks like I worked on both--Jan's and Feb's blocks-

got about 32 yellow yo-yo's made-

and am doing '3' angel blocks in each color of the month--and needed to get them prepped-

Finally got the 4 thinking of you blocks I did last summer finished and in the mail--

to Anne, Alice, Sunny and Carol H--

I played with the new iron-

and got some tops pressed along with backings and battings--and really like how it works--

got these 3 done for hand quilting--and started hand quilting on the top one--

the Christmas one--

Each day in February I did do the rectangle for the day for the Crabapple embroider along--

always enjoy doing these--

Got this quilt finished and hung up--all hand pieced and handquilted--

and got this one finished into a top-

But it's wider too--so has to wait on a longer table before getting it put together--

a larger size baby sweater--

got a new cart to hold my projects in progress in--is at the end of my sewingmachine table-

Won a give away on Mari's site--

Frannie and I went to the Zoo--at 9am and stayed an hour before it got too crowded for us--

then went to Hobby Lobby where I got these 2 new plates for eating my lunch and dinner on-and 

some more baby yarn--and 3 new pcs of blues for the newest hand piecing project--

And then we went to lunch at Cracker Barrel--and they had outdoor seating--

when we went in to pay--I found the little red truck--figure I can decorate it for each holiday!

we had a lovely day out!

These are the 4 blocks I picked to do this month--all hearts!!!

This is where I am on the round robin top--but not sure I will do anymore on this one other than add a border or two--

First step on the new hand piecing project--

got my little red truck finished--

and started on the Farmhouse series--a set of 9 blocks--

I just need the red thread for this one to be finished--but am waiting for it to come in the mail--

I also joined a mail monthly club--Just another button Co--

we get a free pincushion pattern and a set of 3 cute pins--

and at a trip to Beaul's for my new sketchers --this cute critter came  home with me--

who can resist those eyes--(Frannie took me--she bought 3 prs of sandals!!)

On a very sad note--my dear friend--Margaret passed away this month-I will miss her

checking on me each week and all her advice on to handle my MCS issue!

JANUARY 2021

 A new year and a new month

we are still into the trama of Covid 19--

But I managed to keep busy--

I spent the first 3 weeks working on a stitch along that used Antique Linens--and is something I have wanted to do for a long time--

the middle block is Mom's pillow case edging--

the upper top one is my pillow edging--

and the bottom one is the one that Sally gave me--that Dare's grandmother made--

and the other one is just one I have had for alot of years--

the 4 corner blocks are old crocheted butterfly hankies--

and then there is alot of other old hankies and tea towels on this one--

now they are all together and I can enjoy seeing them all at once!!

I decided to use this book this year--

and using a line of fabric from Laundry baskets--I am making one block a week--

Here is my first 4 blocks-

I am also doing a round robin sew along--

and picked a single block I had of a basket of flowers--

in January we had the piano key row to do and then the Plus sign row to do--

Here is mine so far--I added the applique flowers to my corner blocks--

The first color of the year was pink--

so decided to do yo-yo's each month with the color--

and decided to do crazy blocks in each color--

still need to do some embroidery stitches on this block--

and am thinking what else I might want to do each month in the color of the month--

Got borders on 2 quilts --

and my hand quilting project has been on this one-

I just have the 4 corner stones to stitch on--then the binding--

For Counted cross stitching-

I finished this one--

and am working on this little truck with a tree in the back of it--

and--

I got the new cat thread holder--

and a new cat needle holder--

this is a series of 9 patterns and I going to do them all on one pc of cloth--

so started with the center block which is a quilt block--there is others online who are also doing this one!

Knitting--

one pair of socks--

and

two baby sweaters--

I have another sweater nearly done and a pair of socks on needles--

I also prep this embroidery piece--

for Crabapple Hill's stitch along for February--she did her's in individual pieces-

but I like them all on one cloth--I also did more coloring that she will be doing!!

a gift in the mail--late Christmas one--though it was mailed Dec 8th--from Sunny--

and a sunrise--

In other news--

I ended up having to be tested for Covid on Tues the 25th when Cristi came as Frannie came down with Covid on the 21st and we were together that day going to Publix for groceries--

test came back negative on Friday--but I was a total shut in for 4 1/2 days!!!

And my dear Alex is at the Moffit cancer center with leukemia and a very aggressive form of it

he will need a bone marrow transplant--sad sad sad--

And  Sarah called me to tell me Margaret is not well--this time it is her mind--again--

so very sad!!!

Weather was up and down--and when down it was downright cold!!!--lots of grey days--booo!!
