JANUARY 2016

been busy --

Have  3 snowmen embroider items stitched--


did some organizing so I could get to all my fabric and sewing items--

Prepped and finished my first bom for 2016-

from Quilt Doodles--

framed this counted cross stitch--

got the binding done on this civil war quilt--

 designed this Valentine door hanging-

and it is now finished--

and the binding is all sewn on this one--

I had gotten these 2 blocks done on a bom from Buttermilk Basin last year--
so decided I wanted to finish them--

in these envelopes is all 10 blocks ready to stitch--

 all 12 blocks are now done--yes--

quilt that I am hand quilting--about 1/2 done now--

had these 3 blocks done a long time ago--
need to do 3 more--

2 more are done and the 3rd one is started--

got this little hanging done--was a kit that Anne sent me for Christmas--

am doing the color of the month this year--
and chose to make dresses--
Jan was blue month

had to do something for a site with our word for this year--
my words are--Love and Laughter

and here is the back--

and here is 2 blocks prepped for a basket bom --
Jan and Feb--
so you can say I was busy in January--
also have a baby sweater on the needles--

DECEMBER

Forgot that in Nov I did all these embroidery initials for blog friends and others--

got this counted cross stitch finished--started it last winter--
love it--

Dawn came and we baked cookies--the first time we had both done any cookies in a few years-
we had fun--

and I got myself a new sewing machine!!

learned to make yarn hats--

and baked me a batch of my favorite cookies--cooky candies they are called--

got this one all finished-

got the tall tree wall hanging finished and hung-now to decide how to decorate it--

Made lots of hats for my new friends here--

Knitted a new stocking and have started a blue one--

knitted 3 sets of mini mittens--the reddish ones is from yarn that Dawn gave me to do these for her girl friend and the blue set is for me from left over yarn that I had from Anne's sock that I knitted her in November and then did a set for Dawn to go with her hat I gave her for her tree--

Well--I seen alot of new things this year with the move south--
took lots and lots of photos this year--up in NY and then down here--
and have spent this past week organizing things finally really settling in here--
now to decorate the walls--
and get busy stitching once again!!!

NOVEMBER

Dawn came by and showed me how to make these snowflakes--

been working on embroidery these hexies--

then appliqued them to the red background-

got my 2nd long armed quilt back from Sues--do not like the way they quilted this one!!!
and I kept working on the hand quilting of the tall chmas tree--

I also knitted a pair of socks for Anne in NY--but forgot to take a picture--darn!!

OCTOBER

more sweaters--

another quilt hand quilted--
no sewing machine yet though--

started hand quilting the tall chmas tree with a snowflake stencil-

and another one-

mail call--package from Maria in AU--love this and have it hanging in my new kitchen

and I got the cat puzzle done by Oct 3th--it was 3 ft long--
